Willow Valley Event Pavillion

Baker, Ingram & Associates provided structural engineering services for this new 19,000 sf events pavilion at the Willow Lakes Retirement Communities. The lower level of the structure includes storage areas, a garage and housekeeping offices. The upper level of the facility includes a full commercial kitchen and bar with a spacious dining area. Glass overhead doors create a connection to the outdoor patio which includes a grill, fireplace and kitchen for outdoor event hosting. Structural systems include a mix of steel-framing and wood framing on the lower level with the upper level being heavy timber columns, trusses and purlins. Foundations are shallow spread footings and the basement retaining walls were constructed with cast-in-place concrete.
