UGI Building

UGI Utilities, Inc., a natural gas and utility company, has experienced remarkable growth and made the decision to relocate their corporate headquarters in order to “enhance and expand” their employee base and better serve their customers. Their new, 93,000 sq. ft. multi-level structure was designed to host 350 employees and accommodate future growth. In addition to modern office facilities, the building boasts a full-service kitchen and café as well as state-of-the-art fitness amenities with a yoga studio. The steel-framed building utilizes composite beams at the framed floor levels and moment frames for lateral loads. Steel joists and wide-flange beams on column lines comprise the roof structure. To create the visually attractive gabled roof, cold-formed steel roof trusses were placed on top of the steel roof joists.
