The Ashbridge House project involved renovating an existing two-story house from the 1830s, which features a spacious attic within its roof. The original stone bearing wall and wood-framed structure was transformed into a clubhouse for the apartment campus. To create an expansive two-story area, the building was opened from the ground to the underside of the roof framing. It was then reframed with open web, exposed timber trusses, and framed to black matte painted steel columns and connections. The basement remained untouched, while the attic roof area and framing were enhanced to support mechanical units. The existing facades were updated and retouched to maintain a contemporary feel while preserving their original appearance. Additionally, a new interior exposed metal staircase was installed to facilitate access to the upper balcony/walkout. Adjacent to the building, there is an outdoor dining and lounge area featuring wood trellis framing and plaza paving.
