Investigation/Evaluation
This building was constructed in 1898, destroyed by fire in 1901, rebuilt two years later and used as the seat of local government until it was abandoned in 1961. The building envelope has failed in numerous locations and water infiltration has led to the local deterioration of wood framing and masonry. Our involvement included a structural conditions assessment to review existing structural conditions, determining if the structure is safe as well as make recommendations regarding appropriate repairs and structural implications of the anticipated re-use of the building.
